Ore Valley Housing Association is delighted to support Scottish Housing Day, the annual event that helps shine a light on the work done by housing providers across the country to meet the needs of our tenants and communities.
The theme of this year’s Scottish Housing Day highlights the need for homes that can support people to live well in later life. Our population is ageing faster in Scotland than in the rest of the UK, and as people grow older, their housing needs can change. This might require some simple adaptations to make homes more accessible, or support to move to a more suitable home that’s closer to family or local amenities, or easier to manage.
Ore Valley backs the call for wider consideration by all stakeholders on how we best ensure that homes across the country meet the needs of our aging population.
