Red Weather Warning
Ore Valley Housing Association's Cardenden Offices will be closed to visitors on Friday 24th January 2025
The Met Office has issued a rare Red Weather Warning for high winds tomorrow running between 10am-5pm. There is a further lower-level warning for snow for Fife as well. Winds are expected to rise from 50mph from 7am reaching in excess of 70mph for the bulk of the day. Exposed areas may reach 90-100mph.
Given the likelihood of disruption, the Association will close our Cardenden office to visitors tomorrow. Our phone lines will remain open from 9am to 5pm as normal and those requiring assistance should call on 01592 721 917.
Given the 'Do Not travel' advisory from Police Scotland, our repsonse may be limited and tenants should be aware that we will prioritise our support to ensure we deal with genuine emergencies first. Further details on what constitutes an emergency can be found here.
Fife Council have announced that all schools and nurseries will be closed tomorrow and there will be no bin collections. Details on the Council's response can be found here.
Our Cardenden office will re-open to the public from 9am on Monday.
