Ore Valley Housing Association was established in Cardenden in 1992; it now operates across central Fife providing nearly 800 homes and employs 22 staff members.

We are now seeking to recruit volunteers to join our Board which meets one evening per month.

The values which guide the development and delivery of everything we do are based on respect, fairness and equality and we would welcome applications from anyone with an interest in supporting our work.

An applicant will not be excluded on the grounds of age, disability, gender identity or  reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation and applications from people who identify with any of these characteristics are encouraged and will be very welcome.

The Board has recently refreshed its overall strategy and plans are being developed around the following strategic priorities.

  • Equality and Social Justice
  • Tenant Safety
  • Housing Quality
  • The Environment
  • Sustainability
  • Climate change/carbon reduction
  • Service Improvement
  • Corporate Governance

We are looking for new Board members to help us to meet the challenges ahead. We will consider applications from anyone with an interest in our work and in joining our Board and although not essential we are interested in meeting a broad spectrum of people and in particular anyone with experience in the following areas :-

  • Human Resource
  • Equality and Diversity Issues
  • Housing
  • Asset Management
  • Finance
  • Law
  • Governance
  • Health and Social Care
  • Tenant/Lived experience

Of greatest importance is that you share our values and a commitment to supporting us to deliver our strategic objectives.

You will join an existing Board of committed and welcoming individuals, you will have access to training and development opportunities and have the opportunity to work with fellow Board Members and staff to make a real difference within the communities with whom we work.

As a volunteer we can cover your out of pocket expenses.
